Beauty Queen Tresses is a brand started by a young Haitian woman on the road to a natural hair journey. After being relaxed most of my young life, I took a look at my natural hair and what I had done to it. My goodness, I couldn’t even remember the texture or curl pattern. My tresses were fried from the monthly relaxer and weekly blow-drying and flat ironing almost daily. Although it was the hair that grew naturally out of my head, I knew more about weave than I did my own hair. I decided to learn, so I started to do my research. From my Haitian roots, I naturally gravitated toward oils. The Big Chop! My hair grew so much after I chopped it all off. A year later, my hair hit a growth plateau. After much experimenting, I found a formula my hair loved! My family loved it as well. MY mom then urged me to start selling my product. “If we love it, so many more people will.” A journey of a million miles begins with one step. No matter how small or how big.
